Downloads that finish what they start
Buzzheavier became the default provider, resuming stopped corrupting archives, and large file downloads and extraction were reworked for reliability.
10.5.6 was almost entirely about the part of Ascendara nobody should have to think about: getting a large file onto your disk and unpacked correctly.
A new default provider
Buzzheavier became the default download provider, and every endpoint now checks for Cloudflare interference before a download begins rather than failing halfway through.
Resuming, properly
Resuming a download could previously corrupt the resulting archive. That was fixed, alongside the extraction and flattening logic in the download manager, handling for very large files, and a class of hangs caused by stderr pipes locking up.
On the cosmetic side, downloads now show the game's hero image while they run, and Game Search gained a rotating featured game.
- Buzzheavier as the default provider
- Fixed corruption when resuming downloads
- Reworked large file downloading and extraction
